Lithik was founded in March 2003. Karl Fox, the Principle Founder and President of Lithik Systems, has high credibility within the IT security community and has brought together a team with significant accomplishments in previous settings, including

• The invention of the fourth generation firewall technology still used in today’s security products
• The first secure router that incorporated that firewall technology
• A seven-year appointment as Chair of the Point-to-Point Extensions Working Group of the Internet Engineering Task Force
• The development and deployment of a network security department for an international fiber optic network
• Building a Voice over IP network company that transported over 200 million minutes of traffic per month
• Authoring industry reference books in Intrusion Detection, Linux, and Certification of Network and System Administrators
